eHnv

As Art Director at Établissements hospitaliers du Nord vaudois (eHnv), I led a multidisciplinary visual strategy for almost 3 years, shaping how healthcare stories are told, across print, video, photography, and branding.

Context & Role

The objective was to keep a cohesive visual language that could translate the hospital’s values of care, innovation, and trust into tangible experiences for patients, staff, and the broader community.

Creative Vision

A refined yet empathetic direction: calm tones, functional clarity, and human-centered storytelling.

I established a modular visual system rooted in accessibility, warmth, and precision. The goal was not just to design for a hospital, but to design with its people in mind, respectful of both institutional standards and emotional resonance.

Editorial Design & Print

From policy to empathy.

I redesigned core print materials to bring clarity and narrative depth:

Each piece was designed with readability, balance, and visual breathing space in mind.

Motion & Video Direction

Healthcare in motion, with dignity and emotion.

I art-directed a series of videos:

I led visual tone, framing, and production direction to ensure authenticity, clarity, and emotional balance.

Portrait Photography

A portrait is a collaboration.

I captured portraits of staff members, not just as documentation, but as a gesture of recognition.
Lighting, composition, and intimacy were designed to reflect each person’s role and humanity.

Impact

This direction unified the hospital’s communications under a consistent, modern, and human tone. It empowered teams with tools they could use and feel proud of, and enhanced how external audiences perceive and trust the institution.

Reflection

Designing for healthcare taught me how to elevate constraint into creativity.
Each deliverable was an opportunity to bring care into the visual process, and to make design not just look good, but do good.

Rebranding Exploration (Unreleased)

Designing beyond the brief, a test for transformation

During my time at eHnv, I initiated an internal rebranding exercise to challenge the existing visual identity framework. The objective wasn’t to deliver a final solution, but to spark strategic dialogue and explore how the institution could evolve while remaining accessible, human, and future-oriented.

The Core Idea

eHnv operates across multiple hospital sites throughout the Nord Vaudois region. The initial concept embraced this decentralization by proposing a shared master identity system that allowed each site to express its unique character.

At the heart of the proposal:

Design Explorations Included:

Though this rebranding proposal wasn’t implemented, it generated valuable internal conversations about visual strategy, narrative coherence, and the delicate balance between legacy and innovation.

Sometimes, the impact of creative direction isn’t just in what gets published, but in what it dares to question.
